Barcelona Set to Play Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch on 7 November. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio OlĂ­mpic LluĂ­s Companys.
