American-Palestinian Youth Liberated Following Nine-Month Period in Israeli Detention

A American-Palestinian teenager after completing nine months in Israel's custody absent formal charges gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 during his detention this past winter in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, which he previously denied.

United States authorities said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

They said he is pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.

In a statement, family spokesperson conveyed their "overwhelming sense of relief".

Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"At this moment, we're concentrating on providing Mohammed with urgent medical care he needs following exposure to mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions over several months."

American authorities stated they would maintain to offer diplomatic assistance to Mohammed's family.

{"The Trump Administration has no higher priority to ensuring the safety of American nationals"," officials stated.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done to secure his release.

Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four managing a frozen treats business in Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

He had not seen nor direct contact since February, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him via legal paperwork.

He stayed lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.
